Stronghold Crusader 2 is the long-awaited sequel to the original castle sim Stronghold: Crusader. After 12 years, Stronghold returns to the deserts of the Middle East in 1189, but with a new 3D engine and a realistic castle destruction system created using Havok Physics. Firefly Studios recreates an authentic castle simulator with fast and addictive gameplay.

The new Stronghold stays true to its roots and is an old-school game that combines elements of real-time strategy and city building simulation. With a choice between the brutal Knight Crusaders or the Arab Freedom Fighters, you will have to lead vast armies and siege equipment into battle to decide the fate of the Holy Lands. Go to war as Richard the Lionheart or the Sultan of Syria in two historical single-player campaigns, featuring dynamic events such as tornadoes and locust plagues. Become the greatest Lord by taking the reins of the desert economy and maintaining control over vital oases.

To dominate the battlefield, you´ll need to master over 25 unique unit types with special abilities. Raise the morale of your troops with the help of the Royal Sergeants, rush into battle with a squad of Sasanian Knights, rain down a volley of arrows on the enemy with the strong bows of the Archers, or capture the enemy’s castle with the skillful use of silent Assassins. Once you´ve mastered your skills, put your skills to the test in Skirmish mode or compete online against up to 8 players and AI Lords. Organize teams, choose different AI opponents and create your own maps for skirmish and multiplayer!
